Boston University: Student Housing Phase II

J. Derenzo Company was responsible for the site development work associated with the recent Phase
II Student Housing project at Boston University. Work included the following:
- Strip and dispose of existing asphalt parking lot;
- Remove and stockpile existing structures and block retaining wall;
- Install a driven, cantilevered soldier pile and lagging Earth Support System;
- Mass excavate and remove 20,000 tons of material from the building footprint;
- Install all on and off-site utilities including: water, sewer, and drain;
- Furnish and install vertical granite curbing;
- Provide gravel base and bituminous pavement parking lot and walks on site
